Howdy partner! At Western Desert Shop, we want you to be as satisfied with your Western gear as a cowboy is with his trusty steed. If for any reason you’re not completely happy with your purchase, we’ve got a fair and straightforward returns process that’s easier than roping a calf.
Our Return Policy
We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of receiving your order. All returned items must be:
- In original condition (unworn, unwashed, with all tags attached)
- In original packaging
- Accompanied by proof of purchase
⚠️ Non-Returnable Items:
For the safety of all our customers, we cannot accept returns on:
- Men’s Snake Proof Boots (safety and hygiene reasons)
- Women’s Steel Toe Work Boots (safety and hygiene reasons)
- Steer Horns (custom and fragile nature)
- Any clearance items marked as “final sale”
How to Return or Exchange
Step 1: Request Authorization
Before sending anything back, you’ll need to get a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Here’s how:

- Include the information from our return request template below
- We’ll respond within 2 business days with your RMA number and instructions

Step 2: Package Your Return
Once you have your RMA number:
- Securely package the item(s) in the original packaging
- Include a copy of your order confirmation or packing slip
- Write the RMA number clearly on the outside of the package
Step 3: Ship Your Return

Note: Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error. We recommend using a trackable shipping method.
Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- Refund Timing: Refunds will be processed within 5 business days of receipt
- Refund Method: Funds will be returned to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
- Shipping Costs: Original shipping charges are non-refundable
For exchanges, we’ll ship your new item as soon as we process the return. You’ll receive tracking information via email.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive a damaged item or the wrong product:

- Include photos of the damaged/incorrect item and packaging
- We’ll arrange for a replacement or refund and cover return shipping costs
